Five days, four nights, and the very best of Cusco in one seamless adventure. This package pairs the region’s two most jaw-dropping high-altitude treks — the turquoise Humantay Lake and the surreal Rainbow Mountain — with the living culture of the Sacred Valley (Chinchero, Moray, and the Maras Salt Mines) and the grand finale every traveler dreams of: the Lost City of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Everything is handled for you: private and shared transfers, professional guides, all entrance tickets, scenic train rides, buffet meals on trek days, and hand-picked hotels. Designed to operate from 2 travelers, with personal assistance before, during, and after every tour.

Itinerary

Arrival at Cusco airport and a private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to acclimatize to the altitude (11,150 ft / 3,400 m), rest, and take a first stroll through the historic city center at your own pace. We’ll hand you a herbal altitude spray to help you settle in. Overnight in Cusco.

An early departure toward Soraypampa, at the foot of the Salkantay glacier. After an uphill hike, you’ll reach Humantay Lake (≈13,780 ft / 4,200 m) — a glacial lagoon of unreal turquoise framed by snow-capped peaks. Buffet breakfast and lunch included. Return to Cusco in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.

A full day exploring the Sacred Valley: the traditional village of Chinchero and a visit to Casa Quechua to discover authentic Andean weaving; the concentric agricultural terraces of Moray; and the dazzling Maras Salt Mines. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant in the valley. In the afternoon we reach Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Machu Picchu Town.

A Consettur bus ride up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where your private professional guide leads you through this Inca sanctuary. Plenty of time for photos and to take in the magic of the site. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes, then the scenic train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by tourist transport to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

One last unforgettable adventure: Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca, ≈16,400 ft / 5,000 m), one of the most photographed landscapes in Peru. Buffet breakfast and lunch included. Back in Cusco, a private transfer to the airport — plus a farewell surprise to close out your journey. End of our services.

Note: the order of the day tours (Humantay Lake, Rainbow Mountain) can be adjusted to match your arrival and departure flight times.

Faq's

t’s a moderate level. The hikes to Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain take place at high altitude (between 13,780 and 16,400 ft), so a good general fitness level is recommended — and above all, taking Day 1 in Cusco to acclimatize before the treks.

No. The hikes are accessible to beginners as long as you go at your own pace. The main challenge isn’t technical difficulty — it’s the altitude.

We recommend arriving a day earlier if you can, staying well hydrated, eating light during the first days, and avoiding alcohol. We provide a herbal altitude spray, and our team supports you throughout the entire trip.

The package operates from 2 travelers. Ask us about rates for groups or solo travelers.

Warm, layered clothing, a waterproof jacket, trekking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, and your ID or passport (required to enter Machu Picchu).
