Our ultimate adventure — the most complete trip we offer. Over seven days and six nights, you’ll explore the temples and fortresses of Cusco, conquer the region’s three most spectacular high-altitude treks — the turquoise Humantay Lake, the glacial Seven Lakes of Ausangate, and the surreal Rainbow Mountain — wander the weaving villages and terraces of the Sacred Valley, enjoy an evening of Andean dance and music, and reach the grand finale: the Lost City of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

The itinerary is built around smart altitude progression: a gentle city day first, then each trek a little higher, so your body adjusts as you climb toward 5,000 meters. This is the trip for travelers who want it all. Everything is handled for you: private and shared transfers, professional guides, all entrance tickets, museum access, a folkloric dance show, buffet meals on every trek day, scenic train rides, and hand-picked hotels. Designed to operate from 2 travelers, with personal assistance before, during, and after every tour.

Itinerary

Arrival at Cusco airport and a private transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, a guided Cusco City Tour takes you to the imposing fortress of Saqsayhuamán (≈12,140 ft / 3,700 m), the ceremonial site of Qenqo, and the outposts of Puka Pukara and Tambomachay, with entrance to the city’s museums — a perfect first step for acclimatization. As night falls, enjoy a vibrant folkloric dance show at the renowned Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo. We’ll also hand you a herbal altitude spray to help you settle in. Overnight in Cusco.

An early departure toward Soraypampa, at the foot of the Salkantay glacier. After an uphill hike, you’ll reach Humantay Lake (≈13,780 ft / 4,200 m) — a glacial lagoon of unreal turquoise framed by snow-capped peaks. Buffet breakfast and lunch included. Return to Cusco in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.

A spectacular hike beneath the sacred Ausangate massif, linking a chain of glacial lakes (≈14,800 ft / 4,500 m), each a different shade of turquoise and emerald. One of the region’s most beautiful and least-crowded trails. Buffet breakfast and lunch included. Return to Cusco in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.

With several days of altitude behind you, you’re ready for the highest point of the trip: Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca, ≈16,400 ft / 5,000 m), one of the most photographed landscapes in Peru, where mineral layers paint the slopes in bands of color. Buffet breakfast and lunch included. Return to Cusco in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.

A full day in the Sacred Valley: the traditional village of Chinchero and a visit to Casa Quechua to discover authentic Andean weaving; the concentric agricultural terraces of Moray; and the dazzling Maras Salt Mines. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant in the valley. In the afternoon we reach Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Machu Picchu Town.

A Consettur bus ride up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where your private professional guide leads you through this Inca sanctuary. Plenty of time for photos and to take in the magic of the site. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes, then the scenic train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by tourist transport to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Free time in the morning for last-minute souvenirs or a final walk through Cusco, followed by a private transfer to the airport — plus a farewell surprise to close out your journey. End of our services.

Note: the order of the tours can be adjusted to match your arrival and departure flight times, while keeping the altitude progression in mind.

  • Pack a small daypack for the treks and leave your main luggage at your hotel in Cusco.
  • Carry cash in Peruvian soles for tips, markets, and purchases in local communities.
  • Book your add-ons (extra mountains, upgrades) early — spots sell out fast.
  • Respect local communities and the natural environment: leave no trace and ask before photographing people.

Faq's

This is our most demanding itinerary, with three high-altitude treks (up to 16,400 ft on Rainbow Mountain) on consecutive days. A solid fitness level is strongly recommended, and the schedule is built so each day climbs a little higher to help your body adjust.

Previous experience isn’t required, but good fitness and stamina are important given three trek days in a row. The hikes are non-technical; the real challenge is the altitude and consecutive effort. If you’d prefer more recovery time, we can add a rest day.

We recommend arriving a day or two earlier, staying well hydrated, eating light during the first days, and avoiding alcohol. The itinerary’s gradual altitude progression also helps. We provide a herbal altitude spray and support you throughout the trip.

The package operates from 2 travelers. Ask us about rates for groups or solo travelers.

Cusco’s dry season (roughly May to October) offers the clearest skies and best trekking conditions, while the green season (November to April) is quieter with occasional afternoon rain. The trip runs year-round; we simply recommend packing a light rain jacket in the green season.
